INTERCLUB SERIE MEDWAY VIKING
Out two clubs run an annual competition
whereby we visit each others club for friendly competitions. Although about 50 miles
separate the two clubs there is always a good turnout of drivers with normally twelve in
each team.

1998 Medway & Viking Tournament.
This was to be Vikings first inter club competition
and the first time we had
a team visit our club. We wondered if everything would go smoothly. It went well and
everybody enjoyed it. The Medway club were not too experienced with wooden track circuits
but soon got the hang of our track. The Viking team staved off a strong assault by the
Medway team.

Round 2: 13th
September 1998
Racing on a Scalextric plexy track circuit was a new experience for most of the
Viking team. On the day it proved that the Medway members had the advantage using mainly
Ninco cars with Scalextric motors installed. The Viking racers used Scalextric cars in the
main with Scalextric motors which held there own down the long back straight at Medway but
floundered on the corners.
A good time was had by all and we look forward to another set of meetings in 1999.
