New Models Update :
Chris Amon's 1969 Can-Am 612P
Watkins Glen race - MX 015
In Production and available NOW

At last the earlier "no wing" follow up to our high wing version of the same car. It offers the same exceptional levels of details as before, see below. Included in this version are the detail variations, such as a removable engine cover and the raised water radiator ducting, that marked out this car at its first event in the 1969 Can-Am series prior to its later winged evolution.

While sold as the Watkins Glen race version the Donneybrook round car can also be built from this kit as both sets of numbering decals are included with this kit.

At present only kit versions are available to order, both individually numbered Collectors Series full equipped kits, up to 200 only, and the lower cost SPRiNT version - which includes the bespoke chassis that this model requires.

Chris Amon's 1969 Can-Am 612P
Elkhart Lake race - MX 008

Like the above mentioned new model we think you will agree we have packed a lot of detail onto this model - you will realise it's got a virtually complete engine and gearbox, with all the rear suspension detail, when you look at it ! The finished model comes complete with fully detailed etched metal chassis panelling, as do all our other models.
We will be concentrating on the Collectors Series kit variants first, limited up to 200 in total, both in prepainted and unpainted forms. As usual everything is include to allow you to produce a running slot car model.
This fabulous car is also available as a SPRiNT bodykit. However, due to the high level of detail integrated into the model we have also supplied the chassis for the first time with this kit format, hence a little higher purchase price.
Don't forget we already produce, as part of our 8 strong range of privateer M6B's, 3 to race and display with both variants of the  612P from the Can-Am series of 1969.

Built Models

My apologies to those who are still awaiting built models from myself, principally MX 008 & MX 019. The fact of the matter is that the day job is taking up too much of my time and is also somewhat more remunerative.

I will endeavour this year to clear the backlog or find an alternative means of producing these sought after items.

The stumbling block as ever is one of economics - the UK is an expensive place to manufacture and build models. Given that what people, I believe, will be willing to pay is necessarily limited - I earn more devoting my time to the day job rather than building models for sale.

New Website Section - Other Slot Car Models
As those of you who are frequenters of the Ebay auction site my be aware I have started to dispose of my own model collection - new hobby taking over, Garden railway ! However certain types of slot car models do not seem to trade too well on that site ..... sooo I have decided to add a selection of other built up resin and more mainstream styrene built up models for sale on this site. Take a look and see what you think. That old Top Slot, Revell or Strombecker my be there at a reasonable price.

SUPER-SPORT by MAXi-MODELS
Our low weight - low cost - high performance model format.

A prepainted MAXi-MODELS body kit, with its own display case included, for £35 !
Weighing in at 19 grams painted, decaled and detailed ! We are not joking.

It can be fitted to either Fly/GB Track Chevron B19/21 chassis with little modification required. Or if you want some real performance you can fit your SUPER-SPORT body directly to the race proven FLEXi-CHASiS

As a direct upshot of some serious development work with a dyed in the wool racer we have created the SUPER-SPORT format. It's for those of you that want to do some racing in those "retro" hard-body slot car classes with something a little bit different and downright classy. You may have baulked at buying a genuine MAXi-MODEL up till now or just don't want to risk one of our little gems in close contact racing. Well, now there is no reason to pass on the opportunity. And the beauty of it is our new SUPER-SPORT kit format lacks little of the detail of its top of the line Collectors Series stable mates.

From our regular high detail tooling we have created a simple set of resin and vacuum formed mouldings to produce the SUPER-SPORT format. What we have done is to incorporate the usual separate etched metal detail into these few mouldings. This with additional paring down of the master has created a lighter weight, by more than 50%, and simpler set of parts which has allowed us to make these models available at a much lower price. They do not replace our market leading Collectors Series and SPRiNT slot car model formats. These are still a class apart if the ultimate in mobile scale detail and fidelity and finish is what you are after.

It does not stop there - if you want to add in more fine detail to your SUPER-SPORT model, with little or no weight penalty, all you need to do is select the appropriate Detail Pack from the range that accompanies each model's SUPER-SPORT listing at the top of our SHOP.

We did say we had got our heads together with an out and out racer - there is also the option of a race developed spring steel chassis to go with our new SUPER-SPORT format as well. We have produced the FLEXi-CHASSiS, a development of the Marconi Proxy race "Class A" winning car's for you to use. It is available, as shown, with optional high performance motor and running gear pack, including "Indy Grip" silicon tyres.

The SUPER-SPORT range is kicking off with our most popular Can-Am M6 and M6B offerings - MX 010 the 1967 works M6 of Bruce McLaren & MX 004A Jo Bonnier's M6B from 1968.

And if you ask us nicely we will happily supply the SUPER-SPORT M6B in any of the privateer liveries, MX 004B - J, that we make - but without the special distinguishing detailing parts that are supplied with the SPRiNT and Collectors Series kits. Coming soon - we will also be producing the Haas team Can-Am T160, MX 014, exclusively in the SUPER-SPORT format.
