Want fast, lively Scottish music? Then you need ScotchMist - a very professional 5-piece Scottish Country Dance band. Quality equipment means that we sound good in any size venue. Our own MC/caller will guide everyone through the dances in a light hearted way, so Scotch Mist is ideal for any ceilidh or wedding with mixed ability dancers.
For more advanced dancers, Scotch Mist has played for Dinner Dances and Highland Balls at venues throughout the U.K. and Europe. Although we are based in Kent, the band will happily play anywhere in the U.K. or overseas. Located close to the channel ports we are ideally located for bookings in Europe.

"I have never been to a ceilidh, does it matter?"
It doesn't matter if you have never been to a Ceilidh as you will be walked through the dance by the caller. Anybody can join in.
"Do you only play Scottish dance music?"
Although we are a Ceilidh band, the type of music is not restricted to traditional dance tunes. We can use English, Irish and American traditional tunes. Clients can consult the band in advance for any special requests.
